Expectations: This exchange runs under the “don’t be a jerk” rule. Don’t write DNWs, don’t skirt around the edges of DNWs, don’t claim someone wrote your DNW when they clearly didn’t, don’t harass other participants or the mods for any reason. Please operate in good faith and assume others are doing the same. If there's anyone you would prefer not to be paired with, please dm one of the mods on discord, email the email provided for the exchange, or dm one of the mods on twitter. You can also list any DNM (Do Not Match) in your offers when you sign up. Please do not include them in your requests as these will be visible to anyone, but the offers are only available to you and the mods.

Participants must be 18+. We won’t be actively checking participants’ ages, but if someone brings a violation to our attention, we’ll enforce this rule.

Nominations: You may nominate any MHA ship involving Shinsou Hitoshi. OT3+ are welcome, but please name characters explicitly. Something like Shinsou Hitoshi/Class 1A or Shinsou Hitoshi/LoV is not allowed. However, you are welcome to specify in your request if you are welcome to such ships.

Assignments: When you receive your assignment, you will write a fic or create a piece of fanart for your recipient featuring one or more of their requested ships and mediums. Do not include unrequested romantic ships in order to avoid NOTPs. The minimum requirement is 500 words or a clean sketch on unlined paper. Only finished works are allowed, and you must not include DNWs from your recipient’s AO3 signup. If your recipient requested Any Relationship, you may write about any Shinsou relationship in our tagset.

Requests: Your request will have 1–20 ships and specify which mediums you are okay to receive a gift for: SFW Fic, NSFW Fic, SFW Art, NSFW Art. NSFW for the purposes of this exchange refers to sexual content. You may request Any Relationship, which would mean you are okay with receiving any of the ships from the tagset as a gift. This does not mean "any ship except this one" so please, if you select any relationship as an option, be sure you do in fact mean any.

Offers: You must offer 1–20 ships and specify which mediums you can create for: SFW Fic, NSFW Fic, SFW Art, NSFW Art.

Matching: You will match on (at least) one ship and one medium. Please include as many ships as possible in your request and offer to make you matchable. If you are not matchable, mods will ask you to add more to your signup. We may delete your signup if you are unresponsive or can’t be made matchable.

Optional details: Blank signups are allowed, but you are strongly encouraged to include some likes or prompts in your signup. Only reasonable DNWs included in your AO3 signup will be enforced. You can choose to mention some non-Shinsou background ships you are okay with so that your gifter has more to work with.

DNWs (Do Not Wants): DNWs are there to keep you safe from receiving a gift that would make you uncomfortable. Reasonable DNWs are clear and do not attempt to railroad your gifter into creating one specific thing. Your DNWs cannot be vague like “dead dove/problematic content” or “angst”, as those terms can be interpreted differently by different creators. Be as specific as possible, e.g. “underage <15 sex” or “major character death”. The section in your signup with your DNWs should be obvious and separate from the rest of your likes/dislikes to make them enforceable. If you are unsure about your own or someone else’s DNW, please contact the mods. This exchange allows MHA manga spoilers to be included in gifts by default. If you do not want your gifts to include spoilers, you will need to add that to your DNWs.

Creator Letters: You may write a creator letter, but should have them done prior to assignments going out. Even if you do write a letter, you are strongly encouraged to include some likes or prompts in your signup. There will not be a letter section of the signup form, so you’ll have to add the URL to the main text box. Your gifter may not read your letter in its entirety, so make sure to put all DNWs in your main signup. We also cannot enforce any DNW's that are not included in the signup, since creator letters can be edited, and we have no way of knowing when things may have changed.

Treats: We highly encourage treats! You do not have to sign up to be able to write treats. They must be for any ships and mediums the recipient requested and must not include reasonable DNWs from their AO3 signup, but do not need to meet the minimum word count requirement. The same gift should not be gifted to multiple people. Treats can be posted anytime!

Creation: You are not required to write any themes or tropes that you are uncomfortable with. The likes/prompts/dislikes are a guideline, but you are not required to follow them to create for your recipient, as long as you stay away from their DNWs. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to ask. Mods can contact your recipient if you have any questions for them.

Defaulting: If you cannot complete your assignment by the deadline, please default on AO3. If you default and your assigned writer then defaults on you, you will not go to pinch hits.

Extensions: Extensions will be granted on a case by case basis. Contact mods as soon as possible to discuss extensions. This must be done before the deadline, or your assignment will be purged and sent for a pinch hit. You will not get an extension past June 28th , as we need to be ready for reveals on July 1st.

Reveals: Please appreciate the effort your gifters go through to create for you by leaving kudos and comments on ALL the gifts you receive. Treats are assumed to be welcome by default, so if you are not open to treats, make this clear in your signup.
